What is couples therapy, and how can it benefit my relationship?
Couples, and/or family therapy allows for you and your partner or loved ones to explore any potential barriers to having successful relationships. You may be experiencing snags in your communication, you may be growing in different directions. With family, a number of issues can be present such as divorce, mental illness, and so much more. Our dedicated marriage and family counselor will work from a systemic approach to assist you with finding your way back to homeostasis with your loved ones. It does require patience and consistency, but we are here to see you through it.
How long does therapy typically last?
Therapy is a process, and in that regard, it benefits you to allow for the process to unfold by committing to services at least weekly in the beginning. You and your therapist can eventually decide your treatment frequency.
What can I expect during Individual sessions?
You should expect to first complete your initial evaluation and thereafter see your therapist regularly for sessions 1x weekly. These sessions are where you will both come up with a treatment plan to structure your sessions by. They may include individual goals and goals for medication. Your treatment will be tailored specifically to your needs
How do I contact my counselor If I need to re-schedule?
Please get your individual counselor’s name, phone, and/or email address to re-schedule or cancel sessions. You should try to cancel within 24 hours to avoid a late or no- show fee. We hold 10-15 min in wait time for tardiness
Do you have Psychiatrist in your practice?
At this time we offer referrals for psychiatrist if they are needed and a part of your treatment planning.
